Spotlight on ZZQ

We caught up with Alex Graf, pitmistress at ZZQ Texas Craft Barbeque, to find out how they are faring during COVID. Their mission is to create an authentic barbecue experience, which they continue to do through takeout service.

ZZQ initially closed at the start of the pandemic, and they reopened at the end of May for National Brisket Day. The business lends itself to takeout ordering online, and their gorgeous photography definitely sells! And yes, they still sellout daily.

They did change up their menu to allow for additional catering, and have a full-service menu as well for events. You can also place a large party order with 48 hours notice. The one thing you need to know is that you can place an individual order at 7:00 pm for next day pick up, before their amazing brisket, sausage and BBQ sells out. Backyard dining is available if you want to order takeaway and hang out. There are loads of delicious cocktails available, along with beer and wine.  Social distance yourself and enjoy!

Cavalier Produce provides all the fresh veggies for ZZQ’s famous sides, check out the house-pickled red onions and jalapenos, or the Texas caviar. Alex gave a special shout out to Bernie, the Richmond area Cavalier sales rep.  Good work Bernie!
